2. Information we use and why
Website visits
Technical information, such as IP address, requested page, request time and browser information, is processed to deliver pages, detect abuse and maintain a reliable website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use visitor analytics, advertising pixels or behavioural profiling. The site has no contact form or visitor accounts. For browser storage used by security services, see our cookie information.
Business enquiries
If you email or call us, we use the contact details and information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, organisation and correspondence, to answer you and manage the business relationship. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract directly with you, Article 6(1)(b) applies. Where records must be retained to meet a legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c) applies.
Providing information is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond without sufficient contact details or information about your request. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless we have agreed a suitable way to handle it. Enquiring does not subscribe you to marketing.
3. Who receives information
Access is limited to people at SewVertex who need the information for the purposes above, and service providers supporting those purposes:
- Cloudflare provides website delivery and security.
- Google provides our business email service.
- Simply.com provides domain administration and forwarding for sewvertex.com.
Providers may use subprocessors. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal information.
4. International processing
Our providers operate internationally and may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Their data-processing terms describe the applicable transfer arrangements, including European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses for restricted transfers and adequacy decisions where applicable.
Details are available in Cloudflare’s data-processing terms and Google’s data-processing terms. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data and how to obtain a copy.
5. How long we keep information
Ordinary enquiries that do not become an ongoing project or contract are deleted 12 months after the last contact. For an ongoing relationship, we retain relevant correspondence while it is needed to manage that relationship. Records needed for legal obligations or legal claims are retained for the applicable legal period or while the claim remains relevant.
Technical diagnostics are retained for as long as necessary to investigate and resolve operational or security issues. Service-provider records follow the retention periods and criteria in the applicable service terms.
6. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in data-protection law, you can request access to your information, correction, erasure or restriction of processing. Data portability applies where the legal conditions are met, including automated processing based on consent or a contract.
Your right to object
You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on our legitimate interests. We must then stop that processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or need it for legal claims.
Send requests to [email protected]. We normally respond within one month. If a lawful extension is necessary because of the complexity or number of requests, we will explain this within that month. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity.
You can complain to Datatilsynet, Denmark’s data-protection authority, or another competent supervisory authority. You do not have to contact us before making a complaint.
7. Security and updates
We use encrypted website connections and limit access to information according to its purpose. We do not use personal information for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. We update this notice when our processing changes; the date above shows the latest revision.
